The CICB has announced that Brazilian tanners will take part in a number of industry trade shows during the beginning of 2015.
These activities have the support from the Brazilian Leather project – a sectorial project promoted by the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) for the promotion of leather exports.
Between January 13-14 a group of tanners will exhibit at the latest edition of Inspiramais – Materials Design and Innovation Exhibition with 17 companies in São Paulo. They will present a diversity of materials, techniques, colours, textures and prints, as well as leather from several origins – from bovine to special and exotic leathers, forming a compilation of Brazilian innovation and creativity.
Following Inspiramais, the next stop is Paris, at Première Vision Leather. After Paris, the CICB will host a pavilion at the APLF MM&T in Hong Kong showcasing Brazilian leathers.
In the first quarter of 2015, Brazilian companies will also be participating at the India International Leather Fair in Chennai, Lineapelle in Milan and at Fimec in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil, always with tanneries presenting their leather trends.
Design na Pele 2015
The latest version of the Brazilian leather initiative will see its international release: the second edition of Design na Pele.
In its second edition, an artist and a fashion designer were invited to develop alongside Brazilian tanneries a series of special hides and, from these articles created, an exclusive collection of innovative fashion and interior decor products.
The articles produced for Design na Pele will become an exhibition to be presented in all major international events within the leather sector during the second quarter of the year.
