Adidas to present at Hong Kong Sustainability Conference

Adidas, representing the multi brand coalition project ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), will be presenting at the Sustainability Conference in Hong Kong on March 31, 2015 during the Asia Pacific Leather Fair.

The ZDHC programme started in 2011, when a group of major apparel and footwear brands and retailers made a shared commitment to help lead the industry towards zero discharge of hazardous chemicals by 2020 www.roadmaptozero.com. Lyn Ip, Director, EHS for Global Supply Chains for Adidas-Group, will discuss the progress to date and the Joint Roadmap, the group’s actionable plan for transforming the global apparel and footwear industry to zero discharge.

Lyn Ip will provide an insight into the developments of the group and the relevance of activities to the leather industry. Topics to be discussed include developments around a Manufacturing Restricted Substance List (MRSL) for leather and a chemical auditing tool.
