Première Vision Leather (previously known as Le Cuir à Paris) takes place this week between February 10-12, in Paris, France. The event, which has leather as its core product, and is visited by fashion professionals and suppliers is a target market for Brazilian tanners.

Buyers and designers from the world’s top luxury brands are present and in the edition this week a small group of Brazilian tanners will be present.

Along with the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), three Brazilian companies will take to Paris their latest collections: Best Brasil, Fuga Couros and Nova Kaeru. Their presence at Première Vision is supported by the ‘Brazilian Leather’ project – a project promoted by Apex-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) in partnership with CICB for the promotion of leather exports.

According to CICB Executive President, José Fernando Bello, the participation of this select group of tanneries in Paris proves Brazilian leather’s quality, which is aiming to continuously gain market share in the highly demanding European market. This year, says Bello, there is an expectation that Première Vision will generate US$4 million for the leather sector in Brazil.
