West Coast Port strike contributed to hide price collapse

In February and March 2015, Union led industrial action across the West Ports of U.S. created a gridlock in shipments whose consequences have become clearer now to the hide and skin supply trade in North America. American hides prices have fallen more than 40% in recent months.
