Nissan’s results for the first quarter of 2015 show a strong growth of the brand in all markets and car segments.
The first quarter of the fiscal year, ending June 30, closed with a net revenue of US$ 23.9 billion, increasing 17.6% on the same period in 2014. Operating profit increased from US$980 million to US$1.6 billion, a 58% increase. Net income increased 36.3% to US$1.3 billion. Moreover, while the average growth was 1.5%, Nissan increased its sales by 4.4% globally selling 1,294,000 vehicles during the period.
However, the excellent results were also due to the many different awards Nissan received for its cars over the year.
Moreover, Nissan confirmed its leadership in the zero-emission segment of the market, with the sales of the all-electric LEAF model surpassing 180,000 units.
At the end of the three-months period, Nissan ranked as the best-selling Asian brand in Europe.
