The Leather & Hide Trades’ Benevolent Institution (LHTBI) organised a London-Paris Cycle Ride fundraising event earlier this month.

27 cyclists aged 18-65 took part in a fun and friendly 3-day riding event which set off from the City of London on September 3, and arrived at the Champs Elysées, in the heart of Paris, on September 5.

Ride leader and LHTBI Chairman, William Tusting, said he “was very pleased with the overall success of the event” and is confident the sponsors will contribute generously.

The money raised will go towards LHTBI’s projects, a British charity founded in 1860, which helps former employees of the leather tanning industry in England and Wales who are in financial need, either due to old age or illness.
