Fimec adjusted to three days

The 40th edition of Fimec in March 2016 will take place over three days instead of four as in previous years.

One of the novelties for the upcoming edition of Fimec is the Collective Leather Space organised by the CICB (the Brazilian Centre for the Tanning Industry), which will bring together the main leathers and hide suppliers from Brazil in the same exhibiting area to present the Summer 2017 trends.

The leather collections will have been prepared according to the guidance of Instituto by Brasil (IBB), under the Inspirational Forum project being developed with tanners and fashion trends’ research consultants.

According to José Fernando Bello, CICB’s Executive President, the aim of the collective space is to show the creative and competitive potential of the country’s leather sector. “It will not only demonstrate the strength of our leather sector but also validate its capacity in forecasting fashion influences”, he added.

Fimec, Brazil’s international leather trade event, showcases leather, chemicals, components and accessories for footwear, machines and equipment.

Upcoming edition: March 15-17, 2016, Fenac Exhibition Grounds, Novo Hamburgo-RS, Brazil.
