XXXIV IULTCS officially launched

Focussing on the sustainable development of the leather sector worldwide, the XXXIV IULTICS congress was officially launched on April 22, coinciding with Earth Day, during a ceremony at the Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR-CLRI) in Chennai.

“Science and Technology for Sustainability of Leather”

The XXXIV congress will take place in Chennai, India, on February 5-8, 2017 and aims to address the following technological challenges:

  • Fundamentals in leather science
  • Strategies for sustainability
  • Innovation and value addition for leather
  • Advances in chemicals for smart and intelligent processing.

The deadline for abstract submission is October 31, 2016.

Organised by the Indian Leather Technologists Association (ILTA) and CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CSIR-CLRI), in partnership with the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) and the Indian Finished Leather Manufacturers & Exporters Association (IFLMEA), the congress expects around 500 participants, of which 200 are expected to be international.
