The 18th edition of International Shoes and Leather Exhibition (IFLE) taking place July 13-15, 2016 in Saigon, Vietnam, has successfully attracted an increasing number of exhibiting companies from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong but also other countries such as Brazil, Italy, India and Pakistan.

According the organiser, over 440 exhibitors from 27 different countries are participating in this edition on an area of 12,000 sq m, compared with 381 and 9,000 sq m in July 2015. IFLE aims to showcase the latest collections in footwear design and leather products, while offering a two-way platform for local and international exhibitors and trade buyers to further explore business opportunities in the Southeast Asia region.

Jointly organised by Vietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (LEFASO), Top Repute, and Hien Dat Exhibition and Trading Service, the event targets global industrial technology from machinery, equipment and materials to finished products. It is also strongly supported and endorsed by Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.

This edition hosts national pavilions from Brazil, China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Pakistan, Taiwan and Vietnam. Over 10,000 trade buyers are expected to attend the three-day event. Despite the extension of Hall B, some exhibitors are said to have been placed outside the exhibition halls.

The Vietnam Footwear Conference 2016 hosted during the exhibition welcomes professional speakers from the footwear industry in Vietnam and addresses favourable policies for foreign investors as well as fashion trends in the sector.
