LANXESS will be unveiling its game changing chemical and technical Crust Technology solutions for sustainable wet end processing at the upcoming “Tannery of the Future” Leather Forum in Shanghai on August 30, 2016.
Although modern leather processing technology could be considered “sustainable” today, there is always room for improvement. In particular, the use of renewable resources as basic raw materials for chemical products as well as the utilisation of useful by-products that would otherwise go to waste should become a stronger sustainability driver or key performance criteria for the future.
In a presentation and subsequent discussion panel, Dr Dietrich Tegtmeyer from LANXESS will outline a conceptual approach for a crust production which promises to give advantages in five major areas:
LANXESS has developed this conceptual approach with the launch of several products/technologies all together addressing these five challenges forming their "X-Crust Technology" resulting in a superior sustainability profile for futureproof tanner.
