The international premium leather show for fashion professionals taking place February 7-9 in Paris will display the results of collaborations between Premiere Vision Leather (PVL) and leading specialist design schools from France.

Showcased at the entrance of Hall 3 at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition grounds, the exhibition titled ‘Les Gobelins: Leather metamorphosis’ will put forward the result of a brand-new collaboration between PVL and the France based Gobelins School of Images. The Metamorphosis exhibition is an artistic journey through the imagination and creativity of young student photographers; each one presenting their own unique vision of leather as a material, woven around the idea of metamorphosis. From mythology to modernity, from man to animal, transformation has been their source of inspiration.

Also on this edition, and for the third consecutive year, the School of Decorative Arts (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs - ENSAD) will present the accessories designed by its 2016 graduates, produced in partnership with leading artisans as part of their graduation project. Aiming to showcase the savoir-faire of tomorrow’s talent and raise their industry profile, PVL will also award an honorary prize, the ENSAD X Leather Accessory Prize.

Other collaborations include IFM (the French Fashion Institute); 18 designers from the Class of 2016 are given the chance to present selected items from their bag, clothing and footwear collections, produced by manufacturers and prestigious luxury French and international houses, and whose material have often been donated by tanners exhibiting at PVL.
