The France headquartered integrated technology solutions supplier dedicated to industries using leather, fabrics, technical textiles and composite materials, has appointed a new Executive Vice-President for the Group.

Chief Financial Officer since 1994, and from 2005 a member of the Executive Committee, Jérôme Viala has been appointed as Lectra's Executive Vice-President since January 1, 2017, reporting directly to Daniel Harari, CEO.

A graduate of the ESC Bordeaux (KEDGE Business School, France), Viala began his career as a Credit Analyst at Esso France before joining Lectra’s Finance Department in 1985. He then successively held different financial positions in the Group and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 1994. Over the last few years, Viala has become increasingly involved in developing Lectra’s international operations, including the opening of Lectra’s subsidiaries in South Korea and Vietnam.

“Lectra will soon announce a new strategic roadmap, revealing the Group’s ambitions for the 2017-2019 period and beyond. I felt it was very important to involve Jérôme even more in our new industrial adventure,” said Harari. “We have worked together for 26 years. During these years, I have appreciated his rigour, his ability to make decisions and stand by them, and his many human qualities”, he added.
