LVMH-owned French luxury brand Céline is to open a new leather goods manufacturing plant in the region of Tuscany.
Located in Radda, Chianti, this will be its second manufacturing plant in the region; after the one situated in the town of Greve. The investment was announced by Pier Paolo Mugnaini, Radda’s Mayor, and recruitment is said to be underway for about 100 production workers.
Gucci has also recently confirmed it will open a new production facility in Scandicci, near Florence, by the end of 2017, while Italian leather goods brand Piquadro announced earlier this year the company aims to provide customers with products that are genuinely ‘Made in Italy’.
