Anpic meets buyers’ expectations

The three-day leather and footwear event taking place May 24-26 in Leon, Mexico registered an increase in visitors on the first day compared with the previous edition.

Manuel Munoz Gutierrez, President, Anpic, told local media that 2,646 visitors attended the fair on the first day, representing a 4% increase over the previous edition in 2016. According to Gutierrez, 20% of visitors engaged in direct purchasing while 85% said they found what they were looking for.

Remaining a rather national fair, around 91% of the total number of visitors registered came from Mexico and the remaining from countries such as the U.S., Colombia, Guatemala, Italy, Peru, Brazil, France, Belgium and Nicaragua.

Closing its doors on May 26, this edition of Anpic hosted 225 exhibitors representing over 350 brands and around 9,000 visitors are expected over the three days.
