Burr in wool reduces Australian skin quality

Published:  28 September, 2017

New season lambskin market in Southern Australia remains firm and in a price range from A$10.00 to A$13.50 per skin ex works for better quality selections.

Burry types are being discounted by A$2.00 to A$6.00 depending on amount of burr in the skins.

Market looks like continuing for next few weeks at same price levels. According to a local trader, the only expected change is in the quality of the lambs sourced from New South Wales.
