During the first day of the Cuir A Paris on February 18, SIC announced that it was selling the show to Premiére Vision, already the owner and organiser of the Premiére Vision Pluriel series of events that takes place at the same time which include, Modamont, Denim and Indigo.
SIC, who are part of the Counsil Nationale du Cuir (CNC), has sold its ownership of Cuir À Paris. “Although the show will have new owners we aim to keep the fair the same and it is a good synergy with the other Premiere Vision fairs”, Marc Brunel, Show Manager Cuir A Paris, told ILM.
The change of ownership will take effect from March 1, 2014, and Premiére Vision will organise Cuir À Paris from the next edition, which will take place in Paris from September 16-18. Four staff from SIC will join the new company with the remaining staying with the organisation. SIC are joint venture partners with UBM Asia in APLF Ltd, organisers of the APLF in Hong Kong and co-organisers of the ACLE in Shanghai.comments powered by Disqus
