Lineapelle hosts series of seminars and talks

The international leather trade show is hosting a number of open seminars and events of high interest for the leather sector during the three-day show taking place in Milan, Italy, on February 20-22 at the FieraMilano Rho exhibition grounds.

On Tuesday, February 20, the first day of the show, the ICEC (Institute of Quality Certification for the Leather Sector) will deliver a seminar titled ‘Innovative Design and Company Know-How Protection’ at 11am in the Fashion Theatre. Start-up, Modern Meadow, will follow with a presentation of ‘Zoa’, the world's first biofabricated leather materials brand, in room LEM – Ponte dei Mari, at 1pm.

The Italian Tanners Association (UNIC) and the Confederation of National Associations of Tanners of the European Community (Cotance) will jointly host the “Tanning and Chemical products” conference on the second day of Lineapelle, Wednesday February 21, at 11am in the LEM room. Speakers include representatives from ICLT Northampton, Politecnico Milano, SSIP (Italian Leather Research Institute). The SSIP will also present its research projects and training programmes on the same day at 2pm.

On the third and last day of the trade fair, Thursday February 22, UNIC will host the “Amici per la pelle” contest award ceremony in the Auditorium at 11am.

The Lineapelle fashion committee will also present the Spring/Summer 2019 trends on different scheduled sessions throughout February 20 and 21.
