The French automotive manufacturing Group has posted a +44.2% consolidated worldwide sales increase in the first quarter of 2018.
Groupe PSA’s revenue amounted to €18,182 million in the first quarter of 2018, compared with €12,798 million in the corresponding quarter of 2017.
Revenue for the Peugeot Citroen DS automotive division amounted to €10,214 million in the first quarter (+13.3%), year-on-year, mainly driven by volume and country mix (+6%), as well as product mix (+4.5%) linked to the worldwide success of the Group’s new models, and sales to partners (+3.9%), that more than compensated the negative impact of exchange rates (-2.8%), according to the Group. Consolidated worldwide sales were up in all regions, with a record of 1.05 million cars sold.
PSA says it anticipates a stable automotive market in Europe in 2018, and a +4% growth in Latin America, +10% in Russia and +2% in China.
