ILM is pleased to announce that John Graebin, Senior Director of Materials, Deckers Brands, will be one of three presenters during the upcoming “ILM Traceability in the Leather Supply Chain – part 2” free webinar taking place on June 20, 2018.
During his presentation, John Graebin will outline the business case for building a transparent supply chain and present practical steps on how to systematically track the source of all animal hides to their origins.
Webinar attendees will have a better understanding on why transparency is becoming so crucial for business and is especially important for leather made products. He will also outline what can be done today to create a platform for tracing the animal hides used in final consumer products.
About John Graebin
John Graebin is a supply chain professional and has been working in the leather and footwear industry since 1992. Having graduated by the Tanning School SENAI RS in Brazil, for the last 26 years he has worked in various positions within the industry with roles in R&D, Sourcing and Operations.
John was featured as a guest writer for ILM (International Leather Maker) publications and, more recently, actively contributed to the creation of the RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) Protocol by the Textile Exchange and acted as an Advisory Member for the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) International Working Group on Implementation Manual 4.0.
He is a member of the Environmental Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing Committee and currently works as Senior Director of Materials at Deckers Brands, headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, where he resides.
