Digitalisation to transform the leather value chain

France based integrated cutting room solutions provider, Lectra, will provide a glimpse into Industry 4.0 and how digitalisation will impact the tanning industry at the upcoming “Tannery 2030” conference in Shanghai.

Lectra's presentation will give insights into the megatrends in the automotive industry, and the corresponding new strategies in the context of digitalisation increasingly affecting industry supply chains such as the automotive industry. During his presentation, Thomas Tempé, Consultant Manager, Lectra China Automotive, will explore how the supply chain responds to transformation by implementing digitalisation and enhancing competitiveness, ultimately to improve the business growth for leather makers.

About Thomas Tempé

Thomas Tempé is Lectra’s Consultant Manager in charge of the China automotive market. His role is to help customers improve the financial performance of their cutting room, including for leather.

His work experience spans several industries, ranging from project management, EHS and IT, to railroad maintenance and construction work, including seven years in the automotive industry in China. Thomas holds a Master’s degree from INSA de Lyon in France.
