The French seating and auto parts manufacturer is planning to build a new factory in the south eastern U.S. state of Tennessee.

The estimated US$30 million investment in Spring Hill is located close to a General Motors production plant and is a 145,000 sq ft facility to produce door panel assemblies that is expected to generate 140 jobs.

The automotive sector is said to be one of Tennessee’s strongest industries, employing 135,000 people. Headquartered in Nanterre, France, Faurecia also has a North American base located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
