Becas Tannery files for bankruptcy

After more than 90 years serving the leather sector Curtiembre Becas from Avellaneda has filed for bankruptcy.

At the end of April the tannery was occupied by the workers who are waiting to see if the company will be closed and liquidated or if it will be turned into a cooperative with help from the government. This solution could be the case so as to avoid unemployment growing in the area.

Becas specializes in high quality leather for furniture and automotive upholstery in both he domestic and foreign markets.
