Supported by the Brazilian Leather Project, an initiative of the Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB), the Brazilian Leather Certification of Sustainability (CSCB) will present a scientific work at the upcoming congress of the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemical Scientists (IULTCS).

Álvaro Flores, Coordinator, CSCB, will explain the procedures and methodology behind the collection and analysis of the certification’s indicators, from its first implementation in the Brazilian tanning industry to the present day. "It’s an opportunity to share the results we have already observed with the scientific community and also to gather important, up-to-date information to enrich the certification and, therefore, improve the efficiency and productivity of Brazil's leather sector”, said Flores.

The XXXV IULTCS Congress takes place in Dresden, Germany, on June 25-28. A total of 40 oral presentations are scheduled during the four-day event, including five keynotes and the Heidemann Lecture. Early registration for the event ends on May 6, 2019. For further information on the agenda and to register to attend, please click here.
