The Parisian trade show, comprised of six specialist events (leather, textiles, accessories, design, yarns, and manufacturing) announces a growing overall offer for this Autumn’s edition; up +3% compared with September 2016. A total of 1,954 exhibitors have confirmed their participation “despite a still complex global context marked by a changing fashion market and political, security and economic threats”, say the organisers.
On the leather front, 278 companies will showcase their Autumn/Winter 2018-19 collections at Premiere Vision Leather, of which 13 are new exhibitors. Situated in hall 3 of the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition grounds, this is also where the Bag & Shoe Manufacturing area is located. Launched last February and dedicated to trends in fashion and materials for the footwear and leather goods market, it presents a selection of manufacturers and contractors specialised in these markets, and who offer solutions in terms of manufacturing techniques and know-how for non-specialised fashion brands looking for partners to develop their collections of bags, small leather goods and footwear.
Also in hall 3, the ‘Smart Square’ area aims to put forward the exhibitors’ strategic environmental and social commitments. For the upcoming edition, the area will also host a space devoted to a selection of industry players specialised in sustainable development, such as certification bodies, associations, and consultants, who will offer advice and solutions to both exhibitors and visitors seeking to integrate greater social responsibility into their organisations, manufacturing processes and collections.
