The 15th edition of Inspiramais to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, will bring together the Brazilian clothing and footwear industry, with an unprecedented integration of these two sectors, and aims to attract buyers from Latin America, the U.S and Europe.
The event, which expects to exceed US$ 2 million worth of business in this edition, has confirmed the participation of 18 tanneries in the Leather Preview space, which will present a selection of leathers for the Winter 2018 season. “The idea is to plug the fashion gaps in this segment by offering a base for the next collections since the leather market is advance compared with other segments markets in the leather-footwear sector”, said the organisers.
Inspiramais is focussed on showcasing a genuinely Brazilian fashion though innovation, design, technology and sustainability. The latter will be given a special space during the event as it aims to raise awareness and enlighten the public on the importance of increasingly cleaner, and more responsible, production processes. Several speakers will address this issue during the event, including Victor Barbieratto, Designer and Consultant at Assintecal; Edmundo Lima, Executive Director at ABVTEX (Brazilian Association of Textile Retail); Linda Pienis, Consultant for the By Brasil Institute; Guilherme Brammer, CEO of WiseWaste; Bruno Valerim, Sales Intelligence Specialist at TNS; Álvaro Flores, Coordinator of the Brazilian Leather Sustainability Certification Program (CSCB); and Rozalia Delglaudio from C&A.
Apart from showcasing the inspirations for Summer 2018, an area named ‘Transformers’ will display a selection of 20 materials developed by the companies, which stand out for their design and innovation. Also, visitors will have the chance to do a practical ‘exercise’ on how to use the components on display in their own collections during a Creative Workshop delivered by a consultant from Assintecal’s Design Centre.
