Under the slogan; “The only one that has everything to create tomorrow”, the 45th edition of Fimec is to focus on the circular economy and will showcase the products of an increasingly sustainable leather-footwear industry, attentive to changing market behaviour. “This economic concept proposes a change in all ways of consuming, from product design to the relationship with raw materials and waste, through the practice of the ‘5Rs’; rethinking, refusing, reducing, reusing and recycling”, said the organisers. Features of the upcoming edition include the Fimec Forum on March 10, which will discuss an analysis on fashion, technology and business for the footwear industry, and the Concept Factory, an area that demonstrates the production of footwear in real time.
