Over 500 exhibitors showcased the latest developments in leathers, chemicals, components, machinery, equipment and technologies for footwear and tanneries over the three-day event. Marcio Jung, CEO of event organiser Fenac, said while the aisles were empty, the stands were full, with much business exchange taking place. “While talking to exhibitors and going through the corridors, I noticed that this year’s visitors were people who really have the decision-making power in their company”, said Jung.
The number of visitors for this year’s edition has not been disclosed, but the organisers said that, in addition to other sanitary measures during the fair due to the coronavirus outbreak, a container was installed at the main entrance, where people who had travelled overseas, as per the list of countries monitored by the Federal Government, were monitored for symptoms.
The 45th edition of Fimec takes place March 9-11, 2021.
