The project is undertaken through Brazilian Footwear, a program to support exports in the sector maintained in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).
The aim of the project is to develop skills so that Brazilian footwear companies can begin international dropshipping operations with a focus on the U.S..
Coordinator of Commercial Promotion at Abicalçados, Letícia Sperb Masselli, said: “The Brazilian Footwear mentoring project is individual and allows the company to gain visibility with end consumers in the U.S., greatly assisting in brand building and therefore also having an impact on B2B businesses (between industry and retail). That is, customers will know your brand and will ask for it in stores.”
The project will last for six months and is aimed at companies associated with Abicalçados and/or Brazilian Footwear, beginning with a feasibility analysis, which will be followed by the definition of models, pricing and sales and investment projections, opening a company in the United States, sending the pairs to the local warehouse, onboarding the B2C sales platform, activating end consumers and monthly reports of results and suggestions for next steps.
