Letícia Luft, project manager for Brazilian Leather, points out that during the fair the Brazilian stand will be showing the Leather Preview, with its diverse collection of special leathers from different national industries. They will also finish by participating in meetings with the ICT (International Council of Tanners) and the 20th anniversary celebration of the ACLE.
In this edition of the fair, over 23,000 people are expected to visit the 1,038 exhibitors from 39 countries. The ACLE will take place at a time of decreasing business worldwide despite the positive balance of Brazilian exports to China (8% growth in area from January – July). The event traditionally provides participants a series of relevant information on the sector’s trends, especially with respect to the Chinese market, which is currently Brazil’s largest leather customer, accounting for 31.8% of all exports by value.
