Consolidated revenues totalled €352.0 million last year and, while growth was 8.4% at current exchange rates, it was 7.7% at constant exchange rates.
Revenue for the group’s footwear and leather division totalled €163.6 million, with growth of 16.9% at both exchange rates over 2021.
Aeffe noted strong growth in its retail channel in 2022, increasing by 21.5% at constant rates to reach €88.1 million, while wholesale saw an increase of 3.4% to €248.6 million. Retail made up 25.1% of group sales while wholesale took 70.6% of the total in 2022.
The group reported significant growth in each of its regions, aside from Asia and the Rest of the World, where it saw a decline of 1.3% at constant exchange rates.
In its home market of Italy, which represents 41.1% of Aeffe’s total turnover, growth was 9.4% to reach a total of €144.6 million. In Europe (excluding Italy), turnover was €117.8 million and up by 11.6%.
Meanwhile, Asia and the Rest of the World dropped by 1.3% to €65.0 million, and America increased by 5.6% at constant exchange rates (14% at current) for a total of €24.6 million.
Massimo Ferretti, Executive Chairman of Aeffe, said: “Despite the uncertain macroeconomic environment, we are very satisfied with FY2022 revenue performance, to which all our brands contributed, exceeding pre-pandemic levels.
“The significant progression of retail, together with the strong development of accessories, testify to the effectiveness of the investments made to further enhance our strategic positioning. Looking closely at the market evolution, we also aim to capitalise on the investment relating to the reorganisation of the Moschino brand’s retail distribution in China, the only area that has marked a slowdown due to health restrictions.”
