The spring 2020 edition of ANPIC was initially scheduled to take place May 20-22 in Leon, Mexico, but it was postponed to October 21 – 23. Meanwhile, organisers Apimex (Mexican Association of Suppliers for the Shoe Industry) announced they will be holding a digital edition on June 11 – 12 from 10am to 4pm, Central Mexico time. During the two-day virtual event, visitors will be able to enter live chats with the exhibiting companies, use the supplier search engine to find products, and participate in recorded video conferences. Over 170 suppliers are said to have confirmed their participation.

Three conferences will be offered; “Fashion Trends Spring-Summer 2021” by Héctor Jáuregui, Manager, APIMEX Fashion Laboratory; “Marketing strategies during the contingency” by Gabriel López, General Director of MercaDr; and “How to rebuild the local business segment” by Alberto García, Director of the Project for the Transformation of the Footwear Industry, Chamber of the Footwear Industry of the State of Guanajuato (CICEG).

Attracting about 11,000 visitors and 350 exhibiting companies at each edition, ANPIC is aimed at the supply industry for the leather-footwear, leather goods, automotive, textile, clothing and furniture sectors.
