In conjunction with its six Informa regional offices in the Middle East and North Africa, APLF is aiming to bring buyers to the show from a variety of countries, including Russia, India, France, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Spain and Turkey.

Thus, the organisers said, the mix of buyers will be different from a regular Hong Kong event but open up new opportunities from nearby African and Middle Eastern countries for participating companies looking to expand their base of international buyers.

A statement from the show organisers said: “With a view to strengthening our visitor promotion campaign, the APLF team is working closely with national leather, footwear and retail associations from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Romania, Russia as well as those from Europe and Africa to organise buying groups to attend APLF Dubai.”

Furthermore, the organisers will be working with the Dubai Chamber to promote Dubai Expo 2020 and APLF Dubai together. Their VIP programme will reportedly give APLF’s buyers and exhibitors an incentive to visit the World Expo and attend business matching meetings during the fair.
