Held under the theme “The Value of Leather: Innovation and new opportunities for the industry”, the congress will bring together professionals, companies and researchers to share knowledge, experiences and the latest technological developments related to leather and its applications in the footwear industry.
Key topics will include new leather treatment technologies, the recovery of industry byproducts and waste, as well as the main challenges and opportunities facing the sector. The event will also aim to bring the chemical industry closer to the leather industry.
The two-day programme will include technical sessions, round-table discussions and AQEIC committee updates, alongside a social dinner and a visit to the Footwear Museum in Elda. The congress is organised by AQEIC and Inescop, with collaboration from IULTCS, AICC, Collagen and Leather, and Leather Naturally.
