The Congress will take place from September 19-22 in Milan and Vigevano in Italy, organised by UITIC and Assomac with support from Messe Frankfurt and Assocalzaturifici.
UITIC President Yves Morin explained that the event is a “three-in-one congress”, including visits to Italian companies, a guided tour of Simac Tanning Tech as well as the actual congress sessions.
Reportedly, participants can choose between three itinerary options: “Inspirational”, which includes visits to Kilometro Rosso and Made; “Supply Chain”, which includes visits to Industrie Chimiche Forestali, TFL and Tacchificio Villa Cortese; and “Shoe Factories”, which includes visits to Calzaturificio Roveda, Seymechamlou and CIMAC.
The visit to Simac Tanning Tech includes a guided tour of machinery exhibitors as well as the chance to visit the Micam and Lineapelle shows.
Finally, the Congress itself will involve two days of presentations including four technical sessions and two thematic panels with topics chosen by the scientific committee.
