MLA reported that September’s beef exports were up by 22% year-on-year to 139,012 tonnes.
The United States remained Australia’s largest beef export market in September, with exports lifting 13% year-on-year to 41,918 tonnes.
Despite 2025 exports to Japan being generally below 2024 levels, the country was notably the second largest market for September, with exports rising 33% year-on-year to 22,759 tonnes. The increase marks the first time in 2025 that exports to all four major markets have grown.
