According to theSauerReport, the ovine skin market is reported to have slowed according to one industry insider. The heat started to come out of the market after the Chinese New Year and the APLF in March. All types of ovine skins are still selling but in lower volumes and at softer prices.

Merino skins are still reported to be selling well in the face of a softer market. Demand is reported to be holding up extremely well for the less dense lining types, with the margin between dense wool and mid dense wool shrinking to the point where it is almost not worth separating the wool lengths.
