According to Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data, Bangladesh reached US$35.2 billion in exports in the first 11 months of the 2020-2021 fiscal year. Income from readymade garments, which usually contributes 84% in the national export in a year, surged by 11.1% to US$28.6 billion in the first 11 months of the 2020-21 fiscal year. Aside from RMG, leather and leather goods rose 14.43% to US$846.1 million. In addition, agricultural products rose by 16.13% to US$906 million.

Bangladesh export earnings in the previous financial year 2019-20 declined approximately 17% to US$33.7 billion.
