Overall sales for Bentley Motors increased 5% in 2019, totalling 11,006 units and representing the seventh consecutive year that the luxury British brand has sold over 10,000 units. According to the manufacturer, the introduction of several new models, combined with greater global availability of other popular models, in particular the Continental GT W12 and Bentayga V8, was key to its success. The Bentley Continental GT was the marque’s best-selling model in 2019, with sales up 54% compared with 2018, while sales of the Bentayga increased 18% in the year. “This result secures Bentley’s return to profitability, demonstrates the successful implementation of our turnaround, and sends a clear signal for the potential of Bentley for 2020 and into our next century”, said Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO, Bentley Motors.

Sales in the Americas increased 30% in 2019 to 2,913 units, while sales in Europe totalled 2,670 units (+5%), accounting for 24% of global deliveries, and sales in Bentley’s home market UK totalled 1,492 units (+10%). In the Middle East, a total of 852 units were delivered, down from 974 in the previous year. According to the luxury carmaker, the market in China (1,940 units) suffered due to a lack of availability of cars, with the new Continental GT only arriving in December. In Japan and Korea, Bentley delivered 651 cars compared with 654 in the previous year, and in the Asia Pacific 488 units were delivered, down on the 520 sold in 2018.
