Brazilian leather and footwear production hurt by truck strike

After a challenging ten consecutive days of truck strike that blocked key national roads and led to a general shortage of fuel, Brazil is slowly returning to normal. Damages to the economy are being calculated but it is estimated that 32% of Brazilian footwear destined for exports have not left warehouses and around one million hides have not been produced.
