The accumulated result in the first eight months of the year registered a growth of 16.5% compared to the same period of 2012, totalling US$1.595 billion against US$1.370 billion. August exports also recorded an expansion of 4.7% compared to July of this year. Hides and skins (wet-blue/crust) were among the semi-manufactured goods with greatest growth in the month. Finished leather exports in the total exports grew by 1%.
