The event took place just days before the Fifa World Cup final in New York, with Brazilian Leather saying the timing had the potential to attract additional visitors already in the city whose work is connected to the leather industry.
Despite recent tariffs and political tensions affecting trade between Brazil and the U.S., the U.S. remained the second-largest destination for Brazilian leather exports after China and Hong Kong. Read Brazil’s full export figures for June here.
