Best Brasil, Nova Kaeru and Soubach were the Brazilian companies present at CaP, receiving visits from some of the main international leather buyers and designers for major fashion brands. The participation of the Brazilian companies is supported by the Brazilian Leather project – an initiative of CICB with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

Leathers presented at this edition of Cuir A Paris were dedicated to the spring/summer 2015 collections. According to Gustavo Leopoldino de Souza, export manager at Soubach, the event brought the opportunity for establishing new business, particularly from buyers connected to the European and North American fashion markets.

Eduardo Filgueiras, Technical Director of Nova Kaeru, says Cuir A Paris has already become a traditional event during the first quarter of the year regarding the export market. “There’s always a great number of visits from clients of extremely high level”, says Eduardo. Another great highlight from the Brazilian participation at Cuir A Paris was the Leather Preview exhibition, which presented buyers, executives and designers with a collection of leathers especially created for the winter 2015 season, giving a preview of the creative work to be developed by Brazilian companies. By generating new business for the participating tanneries, as well as a very positive response from international specialised press, the “Leather Preview” has proven to be a highly successful project.
