With the investment, the amount of which has not been disclosed, the Cambridge Satchel Company hopes to expand business in Asia. Founded in 2008 by Julie Deane and her mother, Freda Thomashe, the British leather goods brand opened a new shop in Oxford on February 1. Other current investments by Cassia include Japan’s fashion brand Evisu and China’s contemporary luxury brand, Shanghai Tang.
