After the tsunami that caused devastating loss of life in 2006, the concept of ‘building back better’ came into prominence. It may be the perfect phrase for leather to adopt now. While the unknowns about the Covid-19 pandemic make matters unpredictable, a fresh restart with a reset positioning for leather that is forthright and positive rather than defensive and cowering is required.
