Chinese authorities seize illegal donkey hides from Africa

Customs in Guangzhou, China, are reported to have seized 24 tonnes of illegal donkey hides shipped from Africa. China’s biggest producer of eijao, a gelatin made from donkey hides, said it aims to end its reliance on imports within three years by boosting domestic breeding.
