Equipped with “robot-assisted” technology, the new manufacturing unit is to produce around 300,000 of the brand’s iconic ‘Desert Boots’, which are currently manufactured in Vietnam and India. About 80 technical and managerial jobs are to be generated, and Clarks said it will continue to source its range from its existing supply chain.

According to reports, the manufacturer plans to establish similar production units in other locations across the U.S., Europe and Asia over the next few years so as to form a global network of regional supply chains to enable shorter lead times and a faster response to changing trends and consumer demand.
