Like other mid-size retailers in Canada, Danier Leather has seen revenues decline in the past couple of years due to a weak demand for the brand. On the other hand, cheaper fashion brands are doing well and taking up market share.

Danier Leather has been well established in the market since 1972 and has over 80 shops in Canada. The management is working on the business and operating strategy to improve results and currently monitors shops having weaker performances, which may be either relocated or closed down.

The Canadian company is publicly listed and has its headquarters in Toronto. It creates leather garments, handbags and accessories.
