In his presentation, Giacomo Rossi will provide growth impact assessment for the automotive industry and outline implications for leather applications. Furthermore, he will analyse key trends in the sector and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, both during the first and currently during the second wave, as well as give forecasts on wider market developments, growth opportunities and mitigation strategies, exploring why digitisation and experiential luxury will be key to the future of automotive leather.
Stephen Jeske, meanwhile, will give an overview of a consumer research study which GST AutoLeather recently commissioned which analysed the attitudes and in some cases confusion of consumers towards automotive leather. He will present what conclusions can be drawn from this for the wider automotive leather supply chain in terms of growth and marketing opportunities. Jeske will also outline what OEMs can do to capitalise on leather as a luxury interior material in order to grow back market share.
