Volvo sold a total of 7,327 cars in October, up from 7,008 units sold in the same month last year. U.S. sales grew +4.6% during the month, as demand for Volvo’s award-winning SUVs led by the XC60, are said to have remained strong. Sales in China were up +3.2% to 11,083 units, with the locally assembled XC60 and S90 models as main growth drivers. In Europe, Volvo Cars sold a total of 26,892 units (+12.2%), following continued high demand for the XC60 and XC40 models.

In the first ten months of 2018, Volvo Cars sold 526,062 units worldwide (+14%), putting the carmaker “firmly on course to end 2018 setting a new global sales record.” In 2017, the Company sold 571,577 units.

In its full year outlook, Volvo expects the worldwide passenger car market to grow, with the premium segment continuing “to develop positively”, as well as continued growth in revenue and retail sales supported by its renewed product portfolio. Read more here.
