ECCO was awarded Gold for portraying its employees in three employer branding films. The New York Festivals TV & Film Awards honour film productions from over 50 countries, and seek to mirror today’s global trends and the next generation of talented story-tellers. The Danish shoe manufacturer was shortlisted in the category ’employee engagement’ together with nine other finalists. “How and why we do things will always define who we are as a company. Letting our employees tell their personal stories is both authentic and inspiring and will help position ECCO as much more than a great place to work”, said Steen Borgholm, CEO, ECCO.

In 2018, ECCO, which has footwear factories in Indonesia, Thailand, China and Slovakia, as well as a tannery in Dongen, The Netherlands, reached the highest profit in its 55-year-old history, with net sales totalling €1.31 billion and profit before tax €201 million, up from €184 million in 2017. Read more here.
